What does VA mean?
It means Virtual Assistant. Virtual Assistance, as a profession, is still quite young in the UK. I work from my own technologically equipped office to assist you to develop and complete your projects.
Virtual Assistance simply describes the way that I work, not the work that I do.

I am away from home for six weeks and I want to keep abreast of messages. How could we work together?
I can pick up messages from your phone or you can re-direct your calls to my number if you prefer your call to be answered personally. I can receive, sort and forward, or reply to your email messages. I can offer regular telephone conferences or instant messaging meetings with you early morning or late evening to suit your schedule. I can liaise with your agent on urgent or casting-related matters. My rates are hourly so if you have a quiet time you don't pay for it!

I am a Director visiting the UK. Can you help me plan my visit?
I can do as much or as little of the organisation as you need. Contact me when you begin planning your trip and let me assist you in organising any or all aspects of your visit, including: scheduling meetings, travel arrangements within the UK, ticket reservations, etc. As your UK contact, I can even liaise with your assistant in your own country to help ensure your visit runs smoothly.

We are scheduling next season's visiting companies for our theatre. We've got a tight deadline and we're swamped with work. Can you help?
After our initial consultation I will work from my own office to contact theatre companies, promoters and individual artists. I will establish availability and propose a programme. I can negotiate their fees while working within your guidelines. I charge by the hour and communicate by phone, email and fax.

I'm a Writer and I need to tidy up the script prior to printing. Rehearsals start very soon. Do you do this sort of work?
I can help. I have the script experience you require. I am familiar with reading scripts and coping with alterations and amendments. I coordinate my own schedule to meet the needs of my creative clients.

I'm a freelance practitioner and I need to keep track of my expenses. How can you help me to get organised?
We can discuss your needs and set up systems to track all your projects. By sharing your diary, I can record your expenses for each project and set up reminders for submitting invoices. We can communicate by phone, email, mail or fax and set up regular times to update each other.
